Who we are
EventHorizonIQ (EHIQ Inc.) publishes market and event analysis: sensor readings, rate decompositions, and dated probability calls on elections, policy decisions and other events.
Positions
EHIQ’s affiliates, including EMJ Capital and EMJX, and Eric Jackson personally, may hold positions in instruments discussed on this site, in our posts and in our channels. They may buy or sell those instruments before or after anything is published.
There is currently no formal rule that stops these parties from trading around publication. Treat anything we publish as coming from people who may have a financial interest in it.
Not investment advice
Everything we publish is for information only. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or other instrument, and it does not take your circumstances into account.
EHIQ publishes general market commentary to all readers. It does not give personalized advice to anyone. Before acting on anything here, do your own research or consult a qualified adviser.
How calls work
Each call is dated, carries a probability, and declares the market it is compared against when it is made. Calls resolve in public whether they are right or wrong.
Backtested results are labelled as backtested and are kept apart from live results. Experimental or unpublished leans are labelled as such and are graded separately; they are not calls.
Data and limitations
Sensor readings depend on third-party data. When an input fails our checks (stale, frozen, test data, or a failed falsifier test), the sensor is withheld. A withheld reading is missing input, not a calm reading.
Readings taken during the trading day are labelled intraday and are not settled closes.
